Rally - Sprintraces
Rally-Sprintraces, in anglophone countries also known as
Super Special Stage or
Spectator Stage, is a form of auto racing that
takes place on short purpose-built tracks, often in outdoor stadiums or airfields with modified production or specially built road-legal cars.
Rally-Sprintraces are performed according rally-rules and supported by a co-driver and distinguished by running on a circuit and take place
on asphalt (tarmac) surfaces. The course consists of a sequence of relatively short, up to about 25 km (16 mi), timed "special stages" where
the actual competition takes place. Commonly several cars will set off at the same time and battle for shortes time during the different
turns. Winner is the team with the lowest time in total of each individual turn.
